Friday Night RE-RUN
If any of you happen to be in the Los Angeles area this Friday night, try to stop by this exhibition I organized. It's in Chinatown, it's called RE-RUN and it's an installation based around these awesome vintage running shoes Nike is re-releasing. I know what your saying..."An exhibition about running shoes? Yuck!" but it's much more than that. It's a total concept thing based on alternative do-it-yourself architecture from the 1970s, coupled with psychedelic graphics, video, and works by artists. Also, we're bringing out FREE SIMON from NYC to DJ the thing. If you've never heard him it's worth it just for that. And...because you are all such loyal readers of our blog I'm gonna play favorites and post a few of the artworks that are going to be in the show. You won't see these anywhere else...

The show's called "RE-RUN"?
Maybe it would be better titled "Defeated."

Don't put "Anonymous" if you have something to say.
I know Aaron and he would not back something if he thought/felt it was bringing negative to this planet. He has looked into this found that a company can change its business practices.

Anonymous hater comments forever amuse. Sitting there all mad at your laptop! hahahaha!

I would like to say that I'm just really happy that people—both sides—are having some semblance of a dialog.
get crazy!
Nike was a major sponsor to the first Beautiful Loser exhibit in Cincinnati. Responsible for the billboard art project above Undefeated. Barry McGee helped design a shoe for Adidas. Sheperd Fairy and the word Obey are synonymous with one another. So he used Sprite's campaign towards his advantage by flipping its tag line and was eventually hired by Sprite to do some work. Unfortunately it's quite impossible to avoid corporations these days and the idea of selling out seems less relevant to this generation. But that's a discussion for another topic. I do, however, believe that using corporate money towards your advantage is the way to go. Barry McGee's billboard was up for three months for all to see and untouched. How long will another one of his work stay up this day in age? I'm just sayin...
what would axl do?
Hey Brendan!
