Beautiful sentiment, really inspiring. I hope that Needles & Pens won't have a sign like this posted in front of it once the big RVCA store on Haight Street opens... I read in the intro of the new ANP that the Family store is going to be curating a book and zine section in the new store, and hoestly that makes me a little nervous. N+P has been in business for almost 5 years now, selling stuff similar to the Family shop (I went there a few months ago and it's awesome). I just hope RVCA considers the little guy when choosing what they stock, cuz there's no way we can compete with a giant store on Haight Street...
Not hating, just concerned, that's all.
Alright, I'll get off my soap box now. Besides that, I think you guys are doing great stuff. Keep up the good work and thanks for sending us mags.
-Andrew in San Francisco (of the local Needles + Pens market)
Don't trip. We love N+P too!! The whole idea of the rvca store (and the company in general) is about building communities (not destroying them). I don't think you or them have anything to worry about. Glad you like the new ish.
All this talk about investing locally sounds fine in theory but I'm sure you guys will agree that some local hippy co-op isn't gonna put a pair of nikes on my feet.
