So so major.

Please excuse the title (I think they would have called it "The Man Who Sold The World" if they could have), but this movie, which just opened yesterday in a few cities (with more to come, and it will for sure be out on DVD soon) is fantastic and incredibly important. There is a quote in the film, which basically says that what Steve Rocco did in for skateboarding in the late '80s and early '90s was as influential to skateboarding—and, thus, popular contemporary western culture—as the Dogtown and Z-Boys situation of the late '70s, of which we have already had a major motion picture documentary and drama. And that's absolutely true. He changed everything. To try to rattle off the list of things he accomplished would be nuts, when this movie does it so well. Granted, it is a little bit over-stylized at points, making motion graphics out of board graphics that were effective enough without motion, but nonetheless it is absolutely a MUST see for anyone that cares about skateboarding, contemporary culture, pop culture, contemporary fashion or contemporary art. Seriously.
